Our Story

Non-profits and grassroot efforts are essential to healthy, functioning communities. We trace our inception to a small church plant in rural Kentucky. It was in this context that the Holy Spirit moved among a people, and out of this movement was birthed a thriving, incarnational, holistic ministry for disadvantaged children and youth in Versailles, KY. Treehouse was intended to be a place up off the ground of life, where children and youth could find refuge from the lies and learn who they really are in Him.

Along the way, God brought us together with like-minded people and groups, all searching for connection, for true Kingdom family, in our pursuit of Missio Dei, the Great Commission. Out of these connections arose our belief that no person, church, non-profit or entity should be an island unto itself. We asked the question: How would a larger coalition of people, ideas, missions, and resources affect the impact of individual non-profits in our community?

Thus, a new community was born: the Treehouse Network. There is safety in unity, and power in choosing one another. In choosing family, we get to be like the Trinity, choosing each other and agape love.

The Treehouse Network now contains several ministries, including our original ministry in Versailles. The network now serves over 5,000 people per month, and we are growing steadily. We exist to network the needs and resources of non-profits and therefore the people they serve. At Treehouse Ministries we are passionate about creating spaces where people can encounter God and experience the transformative power of true Kingdom family and community.

“Fruit trees of all kinds will grow along both sides of the river. The leaves of these trees will never turn brown and fall, and there will always be fruit on their branches. There will be a new crop every month, for they are watered by the river flowing from the Temple. The fruit will be for food and the leaves for the healing of the nations.”
